Kripalu School of Ayurveda
New format beginning in September 2009!
Delve into the science of Ayurveda while living in a yogic environment, complemented by at-home study assignments. Our new program offers two levels of training—as well as an exciting new track for yoga teachers—and allows you to complete your certification in just one year.
The new format is comprised of Foundations of Ayurveda (two 12-day sessions) and the Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant training (four additional 9-day sessions). We will also offer an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist training and a 500-hour Kripalu Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher Certification.
Kripalu School of Ayurveda at Kripalu Center, the largest yoga retreat facility in the country, will now offer an immersion curriculum that will allow you to participate in a yogic lifestyle for the duration of your training. This lifestyle includes: going to bed during the transition between day and night, rising during Brahma Muhurta (between 3:00 and 6:00 am), having a supportive early morning practice, eating whole foods, and being surrounded by inspired and inspiring classmates. Kripalu’s focus on the inquiry into yoga supports the inquiry that is required of an Ayurvedic practitioner. In addition to immersion learning, Kripalu offers a teaching methodology that provides a unique mix of didactic education and experiential sessions.
