Assistant Director of Development Full-Time. Reporting to the Director of Development and working very closely with the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and other Development staff, the Assistant Director of Development will work to continually upgrade and implement all phases of development activities in preparation for a major capital campaign: prospect identification, research, cultivation, and solicitation. This position plays a major role in strategizing and implementation of the Annual Fund and Major Gifts program; planned and deferred giving; the staging of cultivation events at Kripalu and in key cities, and the solicitation and stewardship of a portfolio of major donor prospects. Additionally, the Assistant Director will take the lead role in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting corporate and foundation support. Responsibilities will include working closely with other departments to introduce philanthropy into the mix of each guest experience and to achieve a unity of message and communication materials. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years experience in development in increasingly responsible roles or a combination of development experience, education, and applicable training. A track record in soliciting and closing major gifts is preferred. Experience with corporate and foundation research and solicitations strongly recommended. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Raiser’s Edge and PowerPoint preferred. Experience in prospect research, grants writing, databases, planned and/or annual giving a plus. Clinical Manager Full-time. Kripalu is seeking an inspired clinical practice manager for our integrative medical services. We are looking for a professional with small to medium-size practice management experience who can manage the start-up of these services, support our physicians, and develop the processes and protocols for a growing practice. The right candidate would also have experience with phone/e-mail consultative service management and systems. This position will work with the Healing Arts manager, program operations manager, and director of the Institute for Integrated Healing to integrate and implement operations and services.

Cook Full-time. The successful candidates will be able to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include preparing meals from a designed menu; maintaining proper safety and sanitation practices. Both positions require the ability to stand; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; and taste or smell. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs; frequently lift/and or move up to 25 lbs; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Knowledge of vegetarian cuisine is a plus.

Events Coordinator Full-time. Join a dynamic and professional team committed to providing excellent support and service to Kripalu events. Kripalu is seeking a motivated leader to coordinate Kripalu’s evening and special events, including conferences. Eligible candidates must be able to work independently as well as with the team, be detail oriented, motivated and able to communicate clearly and effectively with staff, musicians, and faculty. This position requires knowledge of Excel and Word. Must work Saturday and Wednesday evenings. Prior event planning experience is a plus.

Graphic Designer Full-time. Join the vibrant and busy Marketing and Communications Department as a member of the design team. The position requires the ability to express the Kripalu brand through design (print and new media) and the skill to coordinate and interface with design staff and freelancers. Applicants should have extensive knowledge of Mac software, including all Adobe CS3 software, and web design; knowledge of MS Powerpoint, FCP, and video/audio production a plus. Must be able to work under pressure, maintain tight deadlines, and juggle many projects simultaneously—all with a sense of humor and passion for the business. 5+ years of progressive experience with 2+ years experience managing an in-house graphics department desired, preferably in the media and nonprofit industries. This position reports to the Creative Director and works closely with all members of the marketing team.

Housekeeper. Part-time (approximately 20 hours per week, 6:30–10:00 am). We are seeking a detail oriented individual for our busy Healing Arts Department. This position is solely responsible for the cleaning—including mopping, dusting, and vacuuming—of all treatment rooms and guest areas. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, under minimal supervision.

Kitchen Support Staff Full-Time/Part-time. Join a team of kitchen staff committed to providing excellent food service support. Support staff perform a variety of work flows, including serving meals, operating the dish machine, managing waste, participating in deep cleaning projects, stocking, and cross-training. The successful candidates will have general knowledge of food service operations and health codes, customer service experience, and be reliable, organized, and detail-oriented. Must be courteous towards self and others, be able to work effectively and sensitively with staff at all levels of the organization, and be physically fit and able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Kripalu Shop Sales Associate Part-time. The Kripalu Shop is seeking a mature, customer service-oriented person to become a member of our dynamic team. The successful candidate will display a positive attitude and be flexible and reliable. Must be available to work weekends and some evenings. Previous customer service experience helpful.

Massage Therapists Part-time. We are seeking a therapist to become part of our integrated healing and healing arts team at Kripalu. Our Healing Arts therapists are known for the high quality and compassionate, mindful delivery of our services. Applicants must have at least two years of experience as massage therapists, 500-hour certification with significant additional continuing education, and be licensed by the state of Massachusetts. Applicants with neuromuscular or Thai massage certification or applicants who are willing to train in Ayurvedic bodywork are preferred.

Personal Trainer Per Diem. Kripalu is seeking a personal trainer to provide one-on-one consultations for our Fitness Challenge participants, Health For Life program participants, and other guests. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with chronic health conditions and with the practice of yoga.

Workshop Programmer Full-time. We are currently seeking a creative individual with excellent communication skills and attention to detail to cultivate and schedule transformative workshops with international faculty. Be part of a team that is responsible for over 750 programs a year. Deadlines and change are constants in this challenging and rewarding environment. Negotiating skills and proficiency with Excel required.
